FIFE BUSINESS WEEK 2018 OFFERS A HOST OF EVENTS FOR FIFE BUSINESSES

FIFE Business Week is almost here!  From 5th to 9th November, the week is packed full of events aimed at inspiring and transforming Fife’s business community.

There’s a broad range of seminars and workshops, covering important issues for the local economy and is once again set to be a major highlight of the Kingdom’s business calendar.  It will also provide opportunities for Fife’s businesses to come together to network and exchange ideas.

Workshops include understanding the benefits of implementing an “enterprise resource planning” system. This significant event, being run by FiFab Precision Solutions in Glenrothes on Thursday 8 November, covers the importance of reducing lead times in order to be more competitive and have a distinct advantage over competitors. There will also be an opportunity to tour FiFab’s facility.

Winning a Tender with Community Benefits is a valuable workshop as businesses are increasingly being asked to commit to providing community benefits as part of their bid. This event at Enterprise Hub Fife on Monday 5 November will give an introduction and overview to alternative community benefits and how a company can deliver them as part of a tender submission.  While at Fife College’s Rosyth Campus on Thursday 8 November, industry experts will share why innovating people and processes deliver increased productivity and helps to overcome barriers to growth, build supply chain resilience and secures success for the Offshore Wind business.

On the digital side of business, Internet Creation will be delivering a workshop on How a Business can benefit from its own Mobile App in Rosyth on Wednesday 7 November. This session will look at the features, advantages and benefits of mobile apps and why they are important for a business.

Other workshops include harnessing energy, e-learning success and making tax digital. The week of action will focus on key issues that are impacting Fife entrepreneurs, new businesses and employers alike.
